Hostname Resolving to Wrong IP Address on Multihomed Server

Hi everone,

I'm having a strange problem.

My current setup is as follows:

Server1:

NIC1: 172.16.0.1

NIC2 192.168.0.1

Both NICs do DHCP for their respective network.

On the 172.16 network, when I ping server1, I am getting a response with the IP address for NIC2.

If I delete the DNS record for server1 on the 192.168 network, it works normally.

Is there a way to prioritize the address for NIC1 and stop this from reoccuring?
