DHCP migrated from 2003r2 to 2008R2 scope issue

Ok yesterday we migrated our dhcp server from 2003r2 to 2008r2.  I followed MS guide to do this migration successfully.

After migration was complete the machines could get leases.  One problem noticed later was users could not get vpn access and I forgot to change that setting in the ASA for the connection.  After making this change clients were able to get Leases on VPN.

Today I come in and no one on VPN can get a lease anymore roughly after 8AM and nothing has changed.  Any ideas is there something that changed regarding 2008r2 that is keeping me from getting a lease?

One thing to note that is also different.

On this scope where I'm having problems I can't delete records.  When I go to delete a record it gives me an error saying:

The following error occurred while deleting the record xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:

An error occurred while accessing the DHCP database.  Look at the DHCP server event log for more information on this error.

What I can't find is anything related to this in any log.

C:\Windows\System32\dhcp\DhcpSvrLog-Thu also does not show anything in it regarding these deletes.
