Normally, when I ping with the "-a" option, I get "Pinging Workstation [IP address]" as the first line of response. For some reason, I have a workstation that shows the domain rather than the workstation in the first line of response.
I can successfully ping the workstation by name. Also, nslookup of the workstation successfully displays the correct IP address. I have also deleted and re-added the DNS entry associated with this workstation, but ping -a still shows the domain
in the first return line. Is there a way to change the pinging name that is returned by the first line of ping -a?
