I have established a connection between a client PC running Windows 8.1 and a VPN server running Server 2008.
The client is assigned an IP from the VPN Static Address Pool upon connection.
However the client cannot ping the server.
The PPP Adapter says:
IPv4 Address: 192.168.0.173 (which is with in the range on the VPN Static address pool)
Subnet: 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway: 0.0.0.0
DNS Server: 192.168..0.10 (which is the Server, and VPN server)
I have spent a lot of time, going over:
-routes
-firewall settings to allow traffic for the VPN ports
-System Health Validators
-Health Policies
-Network Policies
-and other setting.
Yet I'm not able to get this client connected and I feel I'm missing something.
Any assistance or suggestions are very welcome.
