Using Ldap AD LDS for identification on a PHP app

Hi everybody,

I have some question, cause i would use LDAP.

I want to use LDAP on my server 2012 DC, i have creat a AD LDS instance and i have creat a application web (php) on a apache server, and i will use ldap to identificat user on my web application.

My Apache server runing on a Linux station, and she is not in the domain.

Resume of my configuration :

Windows Server 2012 
Ip 192.168.100.200
domain : order.mydomain.local

Apache Server
Ip 192.168.1.101

Apache Server can ping Windows Server

The client request of LDAP (Server Apache) need to be on the windows domain or not ? 
Or need to be on the same network ?

If you have a good tuto or some information for doing that, it with pleasure.
