I have a WIN 2003 R2 STD SP2 server currently serving as my domain controller, DNS and DHCP server, the previous IT manager created 3 scopes, 10.x.x.161 to 10.x.x.254 is excluded from distribution and 10.x.x.1 to 10.x.x.49 also excluded, I am at 80% usage and would like to remove the first scope (161 to 254) and allow for this addresses to be added to the distribution group, I have never deleted a scope and I am worried that it might cause some issues, other than the safe practice of doing it after hours and making a backup of the current scopes is there anything else I need to worry about?
