All 3 computers in my office are using windows 10 and sharing is wide open. While connected to the office wifi network with my laptop I can see and access the other computers. This is the first time I am setting up a PPTP VPN. On my Linksys ea6900 router I have forwarded port 1723. On my least used computer I have created a "new incoming connection". On my laptop I have created a new VPN connection.
From home when I click connect on the created VPN connection the connection is successful and solid but yet I cannot see any of my computers under my network icon. Why? I know for a fact that my laptop is on the same workgroup and homegroup as the office computers. Any thought's would be appreciated my ultimate goal is to be able to VPN in, map a network drive, and be able to remote desktop into any of computers in my office.
Just a side note I am connecting my laptop at home through a separate motorola surfboard router but doubt that is the issue as I am still able to connect. And I cannot ping any of the office computers.
