NPS SQL Logging, cannot differentiate logon/logoff

Hi everyone,

Have a need to log all RRAS events, especially about connect/disconnect. With NPS 2012 R2, I setup SQL Logging for accouting and works as expected.

But I notice that the entry in SQL when a user connect and disconnect are exactly same ! I've no way to identify if the entry talk about connection or log-off.

Does I missing something ? Or there are def no column for this.

In addition, I found that with 2008 R2 (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd197595(v=ws.10).aspx) there are a dedicated log type (Accounting-off requests, which are sent by the RADIUS client to indicate that it is going offline). but in same documentation for 2012 R2 (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754123.aspx) this is just talking about accounting request and don't precise logon/logoff specific type.

I don't have a 2008 R2 for check this, but I'm also interested to know if with 2008 R2 NPS we have this indicator.

Thanks a lot,

Alex
