Changing DNS record to static, removes permissions(ACE) for Everyone

I have a 2008R2 domain with 2008R2 servers.  I noticed that if I change a DNS record to be a static record, by unchecking "delete this record when it becomes stale" it removes the Everyone "Read and Special Permissions" entry on that record.  Anyone have any ideas what it is doing when it removes that ACE for Everyone"
