I have a primary DHCP server set up and working fine. this server is 2003. I have another domain controller that is 2008 that I need DHCP to run on. I did the migration and everything copied over with no errors to secondary DC. The server is authorized, the scope is activated, local windows firewall is disabled, and the new DC is on the same subnet. When I shut down the primary DHCP server, the secondary server does not assign IP addresses.
What else needs to be configured for the secondary to take over. We are removing the primary from the Network but can not do this until the new DHCP server works.
